从事细胞生物学与动物生态学的教学与研究工作。目前主要以轮虫为研究对象，开展浮游动物种群生态学和进化生态学研究。先后承担国家自然科学基金项目、安徽省自然科学基金项目、高校省级优秀青年重点项目、高等学校优秀青年人才基金项目、安徽省高校自然科学基金项目和世界杯押注软件博士启动基金项目等，参与国家自然科学基金2项，在国内外刊物上发表研究论文十余篇。
